Tennis is one of the few sports that can be played on a large range of surfaces – Natural Grass to Sandfilled Synthetic, redgra/clay to tarmac. Commercially integrating a tennis surface with that of a multi use games area can lead to increases in revenue earning opportunities. It is well documented throughout the U.K. that tennis clubs investing in synthetic surfaces are able to attract a greater levels of interest and ultimately subscriptions.
Because we offer a comprehensive range of surfacing options and have the necessary in house skill Design and Build experience to carry out the complete installation of a tennis facility we are able to provide you with several alternatives which can be tailored to meet your budgets and your users. Our attention to detail, for instance we only handlay our tarmac surfaces, means the surfaces we provide are true and level avoiding playing characteristics. We can also advise on refurbishment of existing courts whether they need a completely new surface or would benefit from a specialist clean and re-paint.
The choice of surround fencing is a major factor with modern facilities, particularly due to the rigors and stresses imposed by multi sport activities. We offer an exciting range of bespoke fence designs with optional integrated recessed goals. Fencing to courts can be colour coated and/or galvanised in a range of differing structural sections depending on the robustness required. The cladding material can be timber or steel in any combination with wire mesh above. You will note from our section on Fencing that we design and install our own systems.
These are now an essential part of local authority commitment to providing areas for physical activity either in schools, community centres or parks. Because we are experienced in all aspects of sports surfacing, grass, artificial turf, tarmac, polymeric etc we can construct facilities to meet a wide range of sporting requirements.
As with any sports surface the need for good drainage and base construction are crucial to its success. Our experience of drainage and earthworks and the role they play means we do not cut corners on these elements.
Multi Use Games Areas are often small in size and located in areas with restricted access. Despite this they still have a large amount of elements, drainage and base construction, kerbing and footpaths, surfacing and fencing. We are unique amongst our competitors because all of these elements are undertaken by our own skilled workforce. This means we can provide quality installations whilst passing on the obvious cost benefits to our clients. We do not rely on subcontractors and therefore delays in construction are reduced considerably. Where a site is to be floodlit we only use an established floodlight contractor for the electrical elements, all civils works are still carried out by our staff.
